Join us for one of the most special days of the year at the Center for Great Apes—our Annual Spring Member Day! This is a time when members and their guests are invited to explore the sanctuary at their own pace, enjoy delicious offerings from a local food truck, and take part in our festive auction and raffle.
Be sure to visit the gift shop to browse beautiful, one-of-a-kind ape art and special sanctuary treasures. You’ll also be invited to attend our Founder Talk with Patti Ragan, where she will share heartfelt stories and insights about the apes and our mission.
It’s a wonderful way to celebrate the season, connect more deeply with the sanctuary, and support the chimpanzees and orangutans who call this place home.
Event Schedule:

11:30 AM – Food trucks and shopping area gates open

12:30–3:00 PM – Main gates open to enjoy a self-guided stroll through the sanctuary to visit the orangutans and chimpanzees.

1:00 PM - Founder Talk with Patti Ragan

Throughout the day – Silent auction and raffle (need not be present to win)
All proceeds from the event support the daily care of the apes and sanctuary operations.
