Jeeter - Bio

Getting To Know Them Better

Jeeter is a former pet who was raised in a human home in Palm Springs, CA until his owner dropped him off at the Wildlife Waystation in 2018. Jeeter is a sweet chimpanzee who craves human attention. The Center has welcomed many former exotic pet apes with similar backgrounds. We’re happy to have welcomed Jeeter to the sanctuary in 2021. Currently, he is being introduced to other chimpanzees and is learning to live with companion chimpanzees at his own pace.
